I'm asked fairly frequently when the best time to get photos of babies is. Generally you're looking at the first 2-3 weeks or when they can sit up. You can obviously have photos between these times, you're just limited to the types of poses and shots.

While Cornwall has been battered over the last couple of days by the back end of storm Ophelia I've been thinking of calmer times during the summer....the very short one we had in June.
Popped down to the beach this morning with my delightful daughter and Dog. Was met with a spectacular view of St Michael's Mount with a huge wall of fog sitting just behind it. Raced home and just managed to get a few shots before the sun got too bright.

I travelled up to Dorset for a wedding weekend. Great wedding at Mapperton House. The grounds offer fantastic wedding photo opportunities.
I travelled up on the Friday, carried out a recce of the grounds and had a final meeting with the wedding couple. Thoroughly enjoyed shooting the wedding Saturday. Great couple and I'm really happy with the photos....as were they.

At the start of June I lost my mind and competed in the Isles Of Scilly Otillo. A 40km swim-run race around 3 of the islands. As well as competing I took my camera and got some great shots. Awesome trip had by all.

This was the first wedding at Carwinion House under the new owners. A beautiful wedding at Mawnan Smith Church was followed by an equally stunning wedding reception at Carwinion House.
Cornish photographer will travel! Found myself all the way up in Dorset a few weeks ago for a smashin' wedding at Stockbridge Farm Barn. A fantastic wedding venue, set in the middle of the countryside.
The wedding took place at Stockbridge Farm Barn, as well as the reception. The venue is surrounded by fantastic areas for wedding photos and I was spoilt for choice.

Busy would be putting it mildly! Wedding season is well and truly in full swing. I've been up to Dorset alone twice this month. Having a little down-time in Cornwall and stayed at an awesome campsite in North Cornwall. Stunning freshwater lake.
I noticed the window in the bathroom was frosted and would work perfectly to diffuse the light coming through it. Got some great shots of a cheeky little baby during this baby photography shoot.
A few images from a wedding that took place at Pendennis Castle, Falmouth. It's a long story but I had 12 hours notice that my wedding photography skills were required.
Great couple and after a mad-dash of a recce down to Falmouth I'm more than happy with the resulting wedding photos.
The Brides wanted a relaxed and informal approach to their wedding photography. Having taken them down to the beach and gone through their formal wedding photos in 10 minutes or so, they were left to relax and enjoy the rest of the wedding.

After having a baby and deciding to compete in a crazy event (involving a Marathon, split up by 10k's worth of swimming) I realised I'd neglected my poor old website. Now that I have little more time on my hands I've decided to design a completely new website.
